Yonex Nanoflare 700 Pro Midnight Purple – quick racket movement and precise control
React quickly, place the shuttle accurately and turn defence into a counterattack: the Yonex Nanoflare 700 Pro Midnight Purple 4U/G5 combines a head-light balance with medium shaft flexibility. This Japanese-made Yonex badminton racket is aimed at technically confident club and tournament players who value speed, control and stability at impact in doubles and varied all-round play.
Does the Nanoflare 700 Pro suit your game?
A good match for: technically sound club players who combine fast drives, defensive blocks and net play with active counterattacks.
Less suitable if: your contact point is still inconsistent or you need substantial assistance from the shaft. Based on our court test, it is also not our first recommendation for dedicated rear-court attackers whose priority is maximum smash power.
Our court test: 9/10 for speed and handling
Kjell Wagener tested the 700 Pro on 3 September 2026 in 4U/G5 with Yonex BG80 at 11 kg, using a base grip and overgrip.
Power: 7/10 · Speed/handling: 9/10 · Control/touch: 8/10 · Forgiveness: 6/10 · Overall impression: 8/10. The combination of handling and power impressed, but good technique remains essential.
Manufacturer rating and perceived feel: Yonex rates the shaft as Medium. Kjell perceived it as stiff in the documented setup. The scores are subjective playing impressions. BG80 at 11 kg describes the test stringing, not an automatically supplied stringing setup.

Construction and materials
Sonic Flare System with M40X and EX-HYPER MG: The frame combines HM Graphite, NANOMETRIC DR, M40X and EX-HYPER MG. Targeted material placement supports the design’s focus on repulsion and shuttle acceleration.
SERVO FILTER and Solid Feel Core: These damping technologies are designed to reduce unwanted vibrations at impact. They complement the construction for a controlled hitting feel without changing the racket’s performance-focused character.
Super Slim Shaft and aerodynamic frame: The slim shaft is made from HM Graphite, SUPER HMG and Ultra PE Fiber. Its medium flex rating is paired with a head-light balance. AERO Frame, Energy Boost Cap Plus and New Built-in T-Joint complete the construction.

Nanoflare 700 Pro, Tour or Game?
The Nanoflare 700 Tour also has medium shaft flexibility, but is made in Taiwan. Its frame uses materials including Nanocell NEO and SUPER HMG rather than the Pro model’s material combination. The difference is therefore not simply a more flexible or stiffer shaft.
The Nanoflare 700 Game, by contrast, is rated Hi-Flex. It is the relevant comparison if you prefer a more flexible shaft response within the 700 family. SERVO FILTER is also included on the Game and is not exclusive to the Pro.
