Yonex EXBOLT 68 – durable 200 m reel for power and stability
The Yonex EXBOLT 68 is a performance badminton string for players who want powerful strokes and direct feedback combined with improved durability. Its 0.68 mm gauge makes it the most robust option within the EXBOLT range.
The specially braided oval Forged Fiber outer structure improves resistance and provides clear contact with the shuttle. An elastic outer coating complements the construction and contributes to quick string-bed recovery.
The 200-metre reel is particularly suitable for clubs, coaches, frequent players and professional stringing services. Depending on racket head size, stringing pattern, knotting technique and string usage, it provides approximately 20 to 22 complete badminton racket restringings.
Playing feel and characteristics
The EXBOLT 68 provides a medium-to-hard, stable and direct playing response. The string bed feels more substantial than the thinner EXBOLT 63 and EXBOLT 65.
Smashes, attacking clears and powerful drives benefit from solid energy transfer. The feedback remains clear enough for accurate placement, drops, blocks and controlled net shots.
Its 0.68 mm gauge improves resistance to abrasion and repeated use. This makes the string suitable for intensive club training and players who break thinner performance strings too quickly.
Compared with the EXBOLT 63, the EXBOLT 68 feels less explosive but provides considerably more stability and security. Compared with the EXBOLT 65, its emphasis shifts further towards durability and a solid string bed.
EXBOLT 63, 65 or 68?
The EXBOLT 63 is the thinnest and fastest version, offering especially immediate repulsion. The EXBOLT 65 provides the most balanced combination of speed, control and durability.
The EXBOLT 68 is the appropriate choice for players who still want a modern and responsive performance string but prioritise longer string life and greater stability.
