Yonex EXBOLT 65 – fast all-round string for power and control
The Yonex EXBOLT 65 is a modern performance badminton string for players who want to combine quick repulsion, precise control and convincing durability for a thin gauge. At 0.65 mm, it responds dynamically at impact and supports fast, varied play.
Its special Forged Fiber outer structure and elastic coating create a smooth surface that allows the strings to return quickly after contact. This supports rapid shuttle acceleration while maintaining controlled and clearly defined feedback.
Playing feel and characteristics
The EXBOLT 65 provides a medium, elastic and responsive playing feel. It supports fast drives, long clears and powerful smashes without feeling as hard and uncompromising as a strongly control-oriented string.
It also delivers good feedback in defence, short play and precise net exchanges. This makes it a versatile option for players who do not want to focus exclusively on pure power or maximum durability but prefer a balanced performance package.
The 0.65 mm gauge provides more speed than traditional durability strings. Its Forged Fiber construction improves resistance, but it does not provide the same forgiveness as a thicker 0.68 or 0.70 mm string.

Important: The EXBOLT 65 is a thin performance string and is more sensitive to off-centre contact than thicker durability strings. The maximum permitted stringing tension of the badminton racket must not be exceeded.
Who should choose the Yonex EXBOLT 65?
The EXBOLT 65 is suitable for advanced recreational players, club players and competitive players looking for a fast and versatile string bed. It works particularly well for all-round and doubles players who regularly switch between attack, defence and precise net play.
Players with slower to fast swing speeds also benefit from its elasticity and repulsion. Those who frequently mishit or place maximum string life above every other characteristic should choose a thicker string.
Our recommendation
We recommend the Yonex EXBOLT 65 to players looking for a modern all-round performance string with excellent acceleration, strong control and solid durability. It is particularly appealing when EXBOLT 63 feels too delicate but a traditional 0.68 or 0.70 mm string feels insufficiently lively.
Unsure about the right string or tension? We will be happy to help you select a stringing setup suited to your racket, playing level and preferred playing feel.
