Yonex Astrox 88S Tour silver-black Details

New 2024 version with similar playing characteristics as the previous model, but with improved materials and dealer stringing at no extra charge.

Differences from the previous model

Material reinforcement on the sides of the racket head for more power and stability. Very thin slim shaft and an improved stringing system. If you enjoyed playing with the previous model in blue, you will most likely love this model.

Basic characteristics

The balance is slightly head-heavy, the shaft is stiff. The sweet spot is slightly larger than the 88D Tour model.

Stability Weight Distribution

Laterally reinforced materials that not only increase the stability of the head, but also generate more power and improve ball control.

Super Slim Shaft

Benefit from excellent aerodynamic properties for faster and more direct swing behavior.

Improved Stringing System

The eyelets are now slightly larger in different places. This allows the strings to move more freely, enabling additional power.

Differences from the Pro model

These are indeed marginal. The shaft uses slightly simpler materials. The racket is produced in Taiwan instead of Japan, unlike the Pro model. This allows for cost savings, as Japan is known as an expensive production country. Unless you are an aspiring professional or high-end club player, you are unlikely to notice any difference.
