The Yonex Astrox 88S Game is the most affordable entry into the third generation of the Astrox 88S series – and therefore the most accessible route to a racket consistently developed for doubles players who play at the front. While the 88D series focuses on explosive power from the backcourt, the 88S stands for something different: the highest control, precise net play and the ability to switch quickly between attack and defence.

What distinguishes the 88S from the 88D is the position of the flex point in the racket head – positioned lower it holds the shuttle on the racket longer and thereby provides more control and more varied options on short shots and at the net. The balance is head-heavy but slightly less pronounced than on the 88D – making the racket more agile and reactive without sacrificing hitting power. The new Power Assist Bumper in the upper racket head deliberately adds weight for more power behind attacking shots while simultaneously reducing air resistance. Volume Cut Resin in the frame is a high-tech material that increases racket head performance. The improved Rotational Generator System optimises weight distribution for fast shot preparation. The medium-flex shaft makes entry into the 88S world accessible even for players not yet adjusted to stiff shafts. The 88S Game arrives factory strung and comes with a full-size cover included.
