Yonex Astrox 88D Tour black-silver Details

The third generation of the Astrox 88D Tour has been significantly improved compared to the previous gold model. There are three essential advantages. The new model features a laterally reinforced racket head for more power, ball control, and stability. The grommets have been redesigned and are now slightly larger in important areas, allowing the strings to move freely and generate more power. However, the most important improvement in our eyes is that you can now choose a string according to your preferences free of charge. In the previous model, the racket was equipped with a Yonex BG3 factory string, which was rather mediocre. Connoisseurs know the importance of a good string from a specialized dealer!

Differences compared to the Pro model

The shaft is made of a slightly cheaper material. The country of manufacture is Taiwan and not Japan like the Pro model. This saves costs, as Japan is considered a high-end production country. Yonex rackets made in Japan are subject to stricter production controls. Overall, the differences are minimal. If you are not a high-end club player or similar, you probably won't notice any difference compared to the Pro model.
