The Yonex Astrox 100 Tour VA 4U/G5 combines a head-heavy balance with a stiff Namd shaft. Made in Taiwan, this Yonex badminton racket is aimed at technically confident club players who want to combine powerful attacks with accurate placement.

The VA version in Dark Olive belongs to the Viktor Axelsen Signature Collection. It pairs a distinctive colourway with the attacking character of the Astrox range. Within the collection, the Tour VA sits between the medium-flex Game VA and the extra-stiff ZZ VA.

Does the Astrox 100 Tour VA suit your game?

A good match for: advanced club and tournament players with a quick, technically sound swing. Its attacking setup suits forceful clears, smashes and well-placed follow-up shots in singles or from the rear court in doubles.

Less suitable if: you prefer a highly flexible shaft or a head-light balance. Active racket acceleration and good timing are important when playing with this combination of head-heavy balance and a stiff shaft.

What sets the Astrox 100 Tour VA apart

Stiff shaft with Namd: The shaft materials are HM Graphite and Namd. Namd is designed around the shaft’s bending and recovery during a shot. The stiff specification suits players who prefer direct feedback and accelerate the racket with controlled technique.

Frame with NANOMESH NEO and VOLUME CUT RESIN: The frame combines these materials with HM Graphite and Tungsten. The Tour VA therefore has its own material specification within the Astrox 100 family. The Built-in T-Joint connects the shaft and frame.

The Astrox 100 Game VA has a medium-flex shaft made from HM Graphite and NANOMESH NEO. It is the alternative within the collection if you prefer a less stiff response.

The Astrox 100 ZZ VA is extra stiff, is made in Japan and has a different frame construction and material specification. When choosing between these models, your technique and preferred feedback therefore matter more than their shared Signature styling.
