Yonex Astrox 77 Play Light Beige – power & all-round play in an exclusive anniversary design

The Yonex Astrox 77 Play is the affordable entry into the powerful Astrox series – specifically designed for attacking players at recreational or competitive level. In the limited Light Beige edition celebrating Yonex's 70th anniversary, you get the same proven feel as the standard Astrox 77 Play, now in a unique colour design that clearly stands out from classic rackets.

The slightly head-heavy balance combined with the flexible Slim Shaft delivers plenty of power on every shot – overhead shots from the backcourt particularly benefit from this characteristic. The 10mm longer shaft provides extra swing and supports powerful smashes and clears. The Astrox series also uses nanoparticles bonded directly to the graphite fibres rather than mixed into the resin – noticeably improving energy transfer on impact. The Astrox 77 Play arrives strung with Yonex BG-3 string and comes with a full-size cover included.

Who the Astrox 77 Play Light Beige is right for

The Astrox 77 Play is an excellent choice for offensively-minded players looking for a powerful racket at a fair price while also appreciating a special design. The head-heavy balance noticeably supports smashes and clears, while the flexible shaft helps generate decent power even without perfect technique. Players later seeking a higher-tier model in the series will find suitable next steps with the same power characteristics in the Astrox 77 Tour (made in Taiwan) or Astrox 77 Pro (made in Japan), with finer material quality.
