VICTOR Training – a children's racket for those first technique exercises

Practising a serve, getting familiar with the grip and enjoying those first rallies together: the VICTOR Training helps children get started with badminton. With an overall length of 58 cm, a shortened shaft and a slim, oval grip, this VICTOR badminton racket offers a compact format for young beginners. It combines an aluminium frame with a steel shaft. The racket comes factory strung and ready to play – without a cover.

Is the VICTOR Training right for your child?

A suitable choice for: children who need a shortened racket for basic technique exercises, school PE or supervised beginner training. VICTOR suggests around 7–9 years as an age guide. What matters is whether your child can hold this 58 cm model comfortably and move it with control.

Less suitable if: your child still needs a considerably shorter racket or already plays confidently with a longer junior model. If you are specifically looking for a very lightweight graphite racket for ambitious club training, the VICTOR Training instead focuses on a straightforward aluminium and steel construction.

What makes the VICTOR Training stand out

Shortened shaft with a 58 cm overall length: Compared with a full-length adult racket, the distance between the hand and racket head is shorter. When the length suits the child, this can make the racket easier to handle while learning the first stroke movements.

Slim, oval grip: Its shape provides a tactile reference for hand positioning. This can be used during practice to work on grip technique deliberately. A suitable grip technique should still be demonstrated and checked regularly.

Teardrop-shaped head with an aluminium frame: The racket combines this head shape with a steel shaft and multifilament factory stringing. It therefore provides an already-strung model for getting started, without first having to choose a separate string.

A racket cover is not included.

The right length matters – not age alone

Consider your child's height, hand size, coordination and previous playing experience. Your child should be able to hold the racket securely and move it with control. For children attending regular training, their coach's assessment can help before moving to a longer model.

For school and supervised children's training

Start with manageable tasks: practising the grip, repeating a serve or returning a shuttle fed from nearby towards a target. This lets your child focus on one movement at a time. Several controlled contacts matter more at the beginning than high hitting speed or playing a complete match.
