Shipping address for used tennis rackets
RW-Sportartikel
Attn: Stringing Service
Ahrensburger Str. 105
22045 Hamburg
Germany
Do not send a racket before ordering the service online. Always include
a printed copy of the order confirmation in the parcel.
What should you do when sending several rackets?
Attach a separate note to every used racket stating:
- the required tennis string,
- the required tension in kilograms.
This allows us to assign every stringing job correctly and prevents
confusion.
Which tennis string suits your game?
Tennis strings differ in material, gauge, elasticity, durability and
feel. A softer or more elastic string may provide greater comfort, while
more robust strings are often designed for durability and control.
| Preferred characteristic |
General tendency |
| Comfort |
Elastic and more arm-friendly string |
| Durability |
More robust string with a durable construction |
| Power |
Elastic string with good repulsion |
| Control |
Direct string combined with a suitable tension |
| Spin |
Textured or shaped string with good ball grip |
Which tennis string tension should you choose?
String tension influences control, power, comfort and racket feedback.
Higher tension may feel more direct and controlled, while lower or
moderate tension can provide additional support with ball acceleration
and greater comfort.
The right tension depends on the racket, string, playing technique and
personal preference. The racket manufacturer’s maximum recommended
tension must not be exceeded.
Inspection of the frame and grommets
Before stringing, we inspect used tennis rackets for visible frame
damage, damaged grommets and worn grommet strips.
When damage or additional repair work is identified, we contact you and
inform you of possible additional costs. Additional work is carried out
only after your approval.
Restringing cannot repair existing frame damage. A severely damaged
racket may no longer be safe to restring.
Processing time
Processing normally takes 2–3 working days after the racket arrives,
plus shipping time.
Return shipping in Germany
Return shipping within Germany is free from a total order value of
€100.
International shipments
Customers outside Germany pay both outward and return shipping costs,
regardless of the order value.
Dropping off a racket at our Hamburg shop
A tennis racket may be dropped off at our Hamburg shop without an online
order. We discuss the required string, tension and earliest possible
completion date when the racket is handed over.
Customers dropping off rackets in person may bring their own suitable
tennis string. This option does not apply to the online mail-in service.
