Racket Covers

Why use a racket cover?

Badminton rackets have lightweight frames and exposed strings. A cover helps prevent direct contact with keys, shoes, bottles and other items while keeping the racket organised during transport.

A cover cannot prevent damage caused by heavy impacts, crushing or extreme temperatures. The racket should still be handled carefully and never stored underneath heavy equipment.

Which types of racket cover are available?

Head covers for compact protection

A head cover surrounds the racket head and protects the frame and strings from dust and scratches. It is lightweight and compact but leaves the shaft and handle uncovered.

Full-size covers for complete protection

Full-size covers hold the complete racket. They are useful when carrying a racket separately or when adding another protective layer inside a larger racket bag.

Selected models include a carrying handle or adjustable shoulder strap.

Does every cover fit every racket?

Racket covers are not universally compatible. Badminton, squash and tennis rackets differ in length, head size and frame shape. The intended sport should therefore be checked, particularly with closely fitted head covers.

Badminton full-size covers are generally narrower than tennis covers. Some models may also fit squash rackets when their length and head width are suitable.

Racket cover or full racket bag?

A cover is usually sufficient for one racket and minimal additional equipment. It is light, compact and straightforward to carry.

A backpack or thermo racket bag is more suitable when carrying several rackets, shoes, clothing and towels. A cover can still provide additional protection inside the larger bag.

Storage and care

Store the racket in a dry location away from direct sunlight. Open and dry the cover completely when it becomes damp after training.

Do not keep the racket permanently in a hot vehicle, damp basement or directly beside a heater. Strong changes in temperature and humidity may affect the grip, strings and frame materials.
