Description
Reviews

Oliver AIR MAX Hire – comfortable beginner padel racket with a round shape, fibreglass and EVA Soft. Excellent control and a generous sweet spot.

The Oliver AIR MAX Hire was developed specifically for beginners and recreational players looking for an accessible, comfortable and controllable padel racket. Its round shape provides a generous sweet spot and supports clean ball contact even when the ball is not struck exactly in the centre of the hitting surface. This helps new players build confidence while gradually improving their technique and ball control.

AN EASY START WITH EXCELLENT CONTROL

A round shape, generous sweet spot and comfortable EVA Soft core create a forgiving feel – ideal for first training sessions and regular recreational play.

The fibreglass or FRP hitting surface is more flexible than a firm carbon construction. This creates a softer and more controllable feel at ball contact. At the same time, the material provides the durability and stability required for regular training. This balanced construction is particularly suitable for players who are still developing their technique and prefer uncomplicated feedback.

Inside the racket is an EVA Soft core with a manufacturer-specified hardness of 10° to 13°. The soft foam absorbs part of the vibration generated at impact and provides a comfortable feel. It also helps the player accelerate the ball without excessive physical effort while retaining sufficient control for accurate placement.

At approximately 350 grams with a balance point of around 250 mm, the AIR MAX Hire feels slightly head-light and comfortably manoeuvrable. The racket can be positioned quickly and supports controlled reactions during volleys, defensive shots and short exchanges at the net. Its round shape keeps the optimum hitting area relatively central and makes the racket particularly forgiving.

The striking orange and black design gives the AIR MAX Hire a modern sporting appearance. Its main strength, however, is its easy handling. The racket is suitable for newcomers, occasional players and recreational players who want to start with a comfortable and stable model.
