Compare the rackets during the same training session whenever possible and use identical shot sequences with every model. Assess acceleration, control, stability, feedback and fatigue separately instead of relying only on the first impression.

How the Racket World test racket service works

Specifications help to create a shortlist, but they cannot replace personal playing feel. Our test racket service lets you compare different weights, balance points and shaft characteristics directly on court.

1. Select the models

Choose up to three available test rackets from the product list and add them to the same basket.

2. Test them carefully

Try the rackets in controlled singles practice or on half a court. Doubles and mixed doubles are excluded because of the higher collision risk.

3. Return within the deadline

Return the test rackets within seven days of receipt. Return shipping is arranged and paid for by the customer.

4. Receive the voucher

After the undamaged return, the test fee is sent by email as a voucher code for the purchase of a badminton racket.

A specific racket is only described as tested by Kjell when he has actually played and assessed that model.

How to compare badminton rackets properly

A useful comparison requires more than a few quick smashes. Repeat the same playing situations and note your impressions immediately after testing each model.

Important for a fair comparison

The test rackets are prepared consistently, but grip size, string condition and your form on the day can still influence the result. Judge the overall feel across several exercises rather than one isolated shot.

Full rental conditions

  1. You may borrow up to three badminton rackets per order.
  2. The rackets must be returned within seven days of receipt.
  3. The customer arranges and pays for return shipping.
  4. Test the rackets carefully and only in controlled practice. Doubles and mixed doubles are not permitted because of the collision risk. The rackets are not intended for several hours of general rental play.
  5. We inspect the rackets after their return. When they are in the same condition as when supplied, the test fee is refunded as a voucher code for our online shop.
  6. The voucher is sent to the email address used for the order and is valid for 14 days from receipt when purchasing a badminton racket.
  7. Damaged test rackets must be charged at the relevant purchase price and then become the customer’s property. Please inform us directly if damage occurs.
  8. A broken string during proper testing does not lead to additional charges.
  9. Our test rackets are normally strung at approximately 10 to 11 kg. We use Yonex Super Grap AC102 as the standard overgrip.
  10. Test rackets are shipped only to addresses within Germany.

Which rackets should you compare?

A comparison is most useful when the models differ in one clear characteristic. For example, compare an even-balanced racket with a head-heavy model or a medium-stiff shaft with a stiff one. Three nearly identical rackets often provide less useful information.

You can select up to three available test rackets per order.

How long may I keep the rackets?

They must be returned within seven days of receipt.

Is the test fee credited when I buy a racket?

After proper and undamaged return, the test fee is provided as a voucher code. The code is valid for 14 days when purchasing a badminton racket from the Racket World online shop.

May I use the test rackets in doubles?

No. Because of the significantly higher risk of racket collisions, the test rackets must not be used in doubles or mixed doubles.

What happens if a string breaks?

A string break during proper testing is not a problem and does not create an additional charge.

Are test rackets shipped outside Germany?

No. The test racket service is available only for delivery addresses within Germany.
