String and tension work together

The final feel is not determined by the string alone. Tension also influences comfort, feedback and the forgiving hitting area.

Lower tension is usually more comfortable and forgiving. Higher tension feels more direct but demands cleaner contact. Never exceed the maximum tension approved for the specific racket.

When should a badminton string be replaced?

the string is visibly frayed or deeply notched,
the feel has become noticeably softer or less precise,
the strings move excessively after rallies,
the string bed has been used intensively for a long period,
a string has broken.

After a string breaks: Cut out the remaining strings evenly and promptly so that one-sided tension does not remain on the racket frame.
